Our Story
Jason was born on February 19, 1975 in Livingston, Montana. His parents are Ken and Diana Merideth. He has an older sister Nikki and a younger brother Josh. Jason grew up in Livingston. He went to St. Mary’s Catholic School from kindergarten through 8th grade and then attended Park High School. In high school he was in BPA, DECA, basketball, and track. While living so close to Bridger Bowl Ski Resort, he spent a lot of time skiing throughout high school. He graduated from Park High School in May of 1993. In the fall he moved to Missoula, Montana to go to college at the University of Montana. He majored in Marketing and Advertising. The summer after his freshman year he moved to Seattle to work building swimming pools. In the fall he moved back to Missoula and worked at Edulog while attending school. The following 2 summers he went back to Seattle to work. While attending school Jason helped start the Missoula chapter of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. He also worked nights as a bar tender while maintaining his fulltime student status. While attending college Jason played in almost every intramural sport available. His fraternity won the all-sports intramural Championship 3 times. He graduated from University of Montana with his Bachelor’s in Business Administration with and emphasis in Marketing and Advertising in May of 1997. Immediately following college Jason started working for Invizeon Corporation designing websites and advertising. He worked there for 6 years. While living in Missoula Jason has played on City League Volleyball and Softball teams. He is also sponsored by Ektelon to play Racquetball. Hollie was born on December 26, 1982 in Salmon, Idaho. Her parents are Scott and Eunice Tyler. She has 3 older sisters, Jamie, Julie, and Kimberly and a younger brother, Richard. She grew up on the family ranch 10 miles from Leadore, Idaho. She started kindergarten in Leadore when she was 5 and graduated when she was 18 in May of 2001. While playing sports for Leadore High School she won 4 consecutive state titles in the shot-put, two consecutive state titles in the discus, and helped lead the Mustangs to their first ever State Championship Title in basketball. Throughout school she was involved in FFA, BPA, 4-H, Volleyball, Basketball, and Track. Her senior year she was named Homecoming Queen and she was Student Body Treasurer. In the fall of 2001 she went to Missoula, Montana to attend college and play basketball for the University of Montana Lady Griz. She majored in Business with an emphasis in Accounting. While playing for the Lady Griz she became the all time leading rebounder, and shot blocker, and was second all time in points scored. The Lady Griz won the Big Sky Conference her junior and senior years and played in the NCAA tournament twice. In May of 2005 she graduated with her Bachelors Degree in Accounting. On October 21, 2004 Jason and Hollie met at the Iron Horse Restaurant/Bar in Missoula. They had dinner and spent a couple hours getting to know each other. After dinner they went to the Elbow Room Bar and spent the rest of the night dancing. They have been together ever since. In September 2005 they moved to Belgium so Hollie could pursue her dream of playing professional basketball. In the summer of 2006 they moved back to Montana. In May Hollie was invited to tryout for the WNBA team in Chicago. She didn’t make the team but learned a lot and had a great experience. On August 1, 2006 Jason and Hollie hiked to the top of Mount Sentinel in Missoula and Jason got down on one knee and proposed to her. They set the wedding date for June 23, which is the same day Hollie’s Grandparents, Robert and Norma Carlson got married more that 55 years ago. In September 2006 they moved to Hungary and will be living there until May 2007. When they return to the United States in May they will have to finish all the wedding plans before the big day on June 23. The wedding is going to be in Hollie’s home town of Leadore on her family’s property in the mountains. The reception is going to be held in her Uncle’s airplane hanger in Leadore. After the wedding they plan to live in Missoula for the summer and then move back to Europe for at least one more season. Who knows after that...
